Movie: Omega Man. Actor (and 2nd Amendment supporter/spokesperson) Charlton Heston portrayed the "Omega Man" in this sci-fi/horror thriller.
TV: Space 1999. This "Stun / Kill Gun" has an illuminated grip and actually fires a red laser. *
TV: Babylon 5. A PPG as carried by the security team onboard B5. This one is made of machined aluminum and fitted with real Pachmayer rubber grips intended for an S&W J-frame revolver. *
Movie: Blade Runner. This is the blaster carried by Officer Rick Deckard and used to "retire" replicants. The original used a Steyr SL bolt action on top and a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 special caliber revolver below. This particular example is a "shooter" built on a real firearm like the screen used version. In the background is rubber "stunt" version. *
Tripod mounted M134 7.62 MINIGUN prop. *
Movie: PREDATOR. M134 7.62 cal. MINIGUN. A custom cradle was constructed for the movie version to enable the actors to hold the gun safely while firing blanks. The forend from an M60 machinegun was mounted under the rotating barrels and the gun was fed from a helicopter ammo box attached to an LC-1 (ALICE) pack frame and fed via an aluminum feed chute. Original gun designed by the late Frank Rousseau and staff from Stembridge Arms. *
The Predator style MINIGUN proved to be a popular item at prop shows. *
Movie: Star Wars, A New Hope. This is an Ion Blaster as used by the Jawas to disable droids and robots using an EMP type of discharge. The Ion Blaster shown is made out of a real WWII British Enfield bolt action rifle. The magazine contains simulated electronics and on the end of the shortened barrel is a metal grenade launcher as used with this rifle by the military. All wood and steel so it is pretty heavy for those tiny Jawas to carry around. *
Movie: Star Wars, A New Hope. A tiny Jawa fires his Ion Blaster at droid R2D2, disabling him.
Movie: Star Wars-The Empire Strikes Back. Character Lando Calrissian carried a specially designed blaster that was similar to the "DH-17 Rebel Blasters" seen in the first Star Wars. This prop replica is made from a deactivated British Sterling 9mm SMG with a Singlepoint optic. Miscellaneous parts of plastic model kits were added for details. *
Movie: Star Wars. This is one version of the "BlasTech E-11 Imperial Blaster." This one and many of the originals in the first movie were made on deactivated British Army Sterling 9mm SMGs. However, SOME were left as live fire SMGs modified to fire blanks. In some scenes in "A New Hope" you can see the empty brass casing being ejected as a stormtrooper fires. The scope is a WWII Sherman Tank scope and the magazine is shorter than the military 34 round version and is believed to be a special 10 round magazine intended for UK police use. *
Movie: Star Wars & The Force Awakens. Above is the older BlasTech E11 Stormtrooper blaster, below is the Son-Blass Corp. F11-D as issued to FIrst Order troopers. *
A Stormtrooper on a break keeps his E-11 blaster close by as you never know when or where a rebel might attack.
Movie: Spiderman. Aerial drone with multiple weapons.
Movie: Dusk til Dawn. "Crotch Gun." *
TV Series: The Wild Wild West. Sleeve gun as worn by Secret Service Agent James T. West played by actor Robert Conrad. This replica was made by Tim Smyth who made the originals for the show. It was worn on the right forearm and to activate it the brass bar at the back was pushed up against the body. This released the retention catch and the springs propelled the Derringer forward into your hand. *
TV Series: Seaquest DSV. This is a rubber stunt rifle, reinforced with an internal metal armature. It has its origins in a Super Soaker water gun and the stock comes from a pellet gun. *
A screen cap of the Seaquest stunt gun from the episode, Brain Lock.
TV Series: Dragnet. Prop .38 special snub nosed Smith and Wesson revolver. *
Movie: Aliens and sequels. U.S. Colonial Marines M41A Pulse Rifle. This is a prop made from a real Remington 870 12. ga. shotgun and a Thompson .45 cal. SMG. The shotgun simulates a grenade launcher and the SMG simulates firing 10mm caseless HE ammunition. The shroud is hand formed aluminum, the forward grip is from a Spas 12 shotgun. *
Movie: Aliens. A copy of the Smith & Wesson Model 39 9mm semiautomatic pistol as carried by Vasquez. The pistol shown was molded from my live fire M39 by our own Matt Worsdell. The magazine is for the M41A pulse rifle and shows simulated caseless 10mm rounds that Matt and I designed. The helmet is made out of a real U.S.G.I. helmet and liner. *
TV Series: Battlestar Galactica (1978). Blaster carried by Colornial Warriors. *
TV Series: Battlestar Galactica (2004). This blaster featured a grenade launcher under the barrel. This prop consists of an aluminum "shell" housing that contains a Smith & Wesson .38 cal. revolver and wood grips. Revolvers are often used in props due, in large part, to their reliability and ease of use. *
Movie: In The Line Of Fire. Resin gun used by the villain, portrayed by John Malkovich, in an attempted assassination of the President. This prop was made by my late friend, Hollywood propmaker and former police officer Frank Rousseau. Frank made several for filming out of resin but also made two out of aluminum and painted to look like resin for closeup sequences where the gun is fired (blanks). To comply with ATF regulations, when filming was completed one aluminum gun was rendered inoperable by cutting and one intact one was donated to the U.S. Secret Service museum. *
Movie: Men In Black. A "Noisy Cricket" replica made of aluminum with working "cricket" sound and lights. *
Movie: Dirty Harry (Magnum Force). This is a screen used rubber stunt Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum. The speedloader is also a screen used prop. The badge and ID replicas were created by SCLOPETUM staff. *

From the movie Blade Runner
A live fire prop gun. This rendition of the Blade Runner blaster carried by Officer Rick Deckard (played by Harrison Ford) is built on a Charter Arms Bulldog revolver in .44 special caliber. This gun can fire blanks or standard ammunition.
The barrel for the “shooter” Blade Runner blaster shown above was made by our machinist Dennis. .44 caliber barrel stock was precisely cut, turned, threaded, and crowned to fit the Charter Arms Bulldog revolver frame.
